Al Hassan Switchgear wins multi-million dollar order for PDO Amal Steam Surface Facilities Project (28 August 2010)

Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC (AHSG), manufacturing arm of Al Hassan Group has been recently awarded a multi-million dollar order to design and supply 6.6 kV HV Switchboard and 415 V LV Switchboards with Intelligent Motor Control System for PDO Amal Steam Surface Facilities Project.

AHSG will also supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of the switchgear panels for this project.

Commenting on the project award, Maqbool Ali Salman (pictured), Managing Director, Al Hassan Group, said, "Being awarded this major contract for a PDO facility is testament to the quality of our electrical products and reinforces our market leading position. AHSG has been known for its consistent high-quality offerings and excellent customer support, which have helped us to secure a number of prestigious projects in 2010 in Oman and other GCC markets."

Recently, AHSG had announced that it will provide its Switchgear for several projects, including the PDO Amal Power Plant, Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion Phase 9 and A'Seeb Sewage Treatment Plant for Haya Water.

He added: "Al Hassan Switchgear strives to establish its leadership role in all realms of activities. We continue to invest heavily in quality manpower, machines and relevant business management software for our full fledged manufacturing facilities at both Muscat and Buraimi. We have recently gone in for state-of-the-art CNC cutting and bending machines at the Muscat factory."

He added, "As we offer a totally local manufactured solution using available local talent we are able to offer a solution designed for the need and hence our products offer more value for money."

Its products are type tested at internationally renowned testing laboratories ASTA (UK), KEMA (Netherlands). A recipient of many industry awards including His Majesty Cup for the Best Factories and No.1 Switchgear Brand as per Observer Brands Survey, AHSG has been recently involved with many prominent projects, including Salalah Methanol, Sohar Aromatics, Tilal Commercial Complex, New Psychiatric Hospital at Amerat and New Bank Muscat Head Office.
