China Cuts Transmission Rates Of Three Gorges Project

The National Development and Reform Commission has decided to reduce the average transmission rates of power from the Three Gorges project from the current rate of 0.07 yuan per kilowatt hour to 0.064 yuan per kilowatt hour, reports 163.com, citing china5e.com.

Savings from the reduction in the transmision rates will total 480 million yuan.

The Three Gorges power transmission project distributes power to 10 provinces and cities in Central, East and South China. The project was completed in 2007.

Shares of Chongqing Three Gorges Water Conservancy (600116) fell 0.25 percent to close the morning session at eight yuan.
